Goodhue Office Remodeling

     Hay Creek Mutual started construction of a 32x46 addition to our office building on August 19, 2002.  The office was designed in 1986 for five desks.  We now have ten people who work in the building.  The building is crowded to the point that we have one person working at a desk in the hallway and another working at a computer in the lunch room.  The new addition will add four offices.

On Friday, Sept. 30, we backfilled the walls.  By Friday, Sept 6, the outside walls were up and the roof was shingled.  This part of the construction seems to go fast.

By Monday, August 19th, the trees and shrubs were gone.  The backhoe did the excavation for the footings.  Concrete should show up on Tuesday.

The picture above is taken from Broadway, looking west. The picture below is taken from 2nd Ave., looking towards the south.

     All the trees and shrubs on the right hand side of the picture will have to be removed.  The bench will have to go too.  We hope to be able to save the ash tree located between the bench and the building.
